Useful Findings 3D
Das Seminar "Useful Findings 3D" behandelt eine Auseinandersetzung mit unterschiedlichen Episoden der Architektur vom menschlichen bis zum städischen Maßstab durch Methoden der dreidimensionalen Darstellung. Ausgewählte Elemente werden 3D konstruirt und mit Hilfe von szenischen Bildern und kurzen Animationen beschreiben. Nach jeder bearbeiteten Aufgabe finden online Gruppendiskussionen statt. Am Ende des Semesters werden die produzierten Dokumente und Objekte als Open-Source-Bibliothek online verfügbar sein. Vielmehr als ein Katalog von Bildern, bietet dieses Seminar die Möglichkeit einer neuen Perspektive auf das kollektive Sammeln architektonischer Referenzen, die anschließend während des kreativen Entwurfsprozesses als Design-Tool verwendet werden können.

Teilnehmerzahl: Maximal 20 (Offen für alle Architektur- und Kunstgeschichte-Studierende des KIT - empfohlen für Teilnehmer des "Dom Nature 5" Masterstudios aber nicht erforderlich. Rhino Vorkenntnisse sind nicht zwingend erforderlich.)

Useful Findings 3D
The seminar "Useful Findings 3D" is an exploration of architectural episodes from the scale of the body to the scale of the city through 3D representation. Chosen elements will be built and described by means of stills and short animations. Group discussions will take place online after each completed task. At the end of the semester, the produced documents will be available online as an open-source 3D library. More than a catalog of images, this procedure is imagined as an exercise in reframing the approach towards a collection of architectural references that can be used as design tool during te creative process development.

Number of participants: Maximal 20 (Open to all KIT students of architecture and art history - recommended for the "Dom Nature 5" Design Studio participants, but not mandatory. Previous knowledge of Rhino is not manadatory.)
